Easy Dairy-Free Snacks to Make in Your Air Fryer
We have all fallen into the routine of making foods we’re comfortable cooking, whether that is because we know what we like and how to make it or don’t care to take the time to find new ones we love. We’ve put together a few dairy-free Air Fryer recipes that will be a great addition to your recipe book!
Coconut Shrimp
Shrimp is a great for anyone looking for a light protein option. It can be made into a simple dish or added to a heartier meal. Adding coconut is a great way to sweeten the deal!
Ingredients:
● 1 pound shrimp (peeled, deveined)
● ¾ cup all-purpose flour or coconut flour
● 1 tsp. Onion, Garlic and Paprika powder
● 2-3 eggs beaten
● ½ cup breadcrumbs
● ½ cup unsweetened coconut flakes (shredded)
● Cooking oil spray of choice (We like Avocado and Olive)
Sauce:
● ½ cup mayonnaise
● Juice of ½ lemon
● Salt and pepper to taste
● 1 tsp garlic powder
● 3 tbsp. Sriracha (or preferred hot sauce)
Instructions:
1. Mix flour with onion, garlic and paprika powder in medium sized bowl
2. Beat eggs until combined
3. Mix breadcrumbs and unsweetened coconut flakes in medium sized bowl
4. Dredge cleaned shrimp in flour mixture, followed by beaten eggs. Shake off extra
egg and dredge in breadcrumb/coconut flake mixture.
5. Spray air fryer with cooking spray of choice and place shrimp on air fryer rack
6. Cook at 375 for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through
7. While shrimp cooks combine sauce ingredients in small mixing bowl
Jalapeno Chips
For our spicy food lovers out there, this jalapeno chip recipe is a great healthy
alternative to artificial jalapeno flavored potato chips.
Ingredients:
● 2 jalapenos (sliced, seeds removed for less spice)
● 4-5 tablespoons flour (coconut, all-purpose)
● 1 tsp garlic powder
● 1 tsp onion powder
● 1 tsp chili powder
● 1 egg, beaten
● Cooking spray of choice (We like Avocado and Olive)
Instructions:
1. Slice jalapenos and remove seeds if less spice is desired
2. Combine dry ingredients in shallow bowl
3. Beat egg in separate bowl
4. Dredge jalapeno slices in egg mixture followed by dry ingredient mixture, repeat
once.
5. Spray air fryer basket with desired cooking oil
6. Place in basket and cook at 400 degrees for 5 minutes or until browned, flip
halfway.
Crispy Artichoke Fries
Take a step outside of traditional fries and try these irresistible crispy artichoke fries.
Ingredients:
● 1 can artichoke hearts, quartered
● 1 cup all-purpose flour
● 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
● 1/2 - 1 cup non-dairy milk
● 1 tsp garlic powder
● 1 tsp salt
● 1 tsp paprika
● Cooking spray of choice (We like Avocado and Olive)
Instructions:
1. Drain artichoke hearts and place on paper towel to release excess moisture
2. Create wet mixture by combining flour, ½ cup non-dairy milk (add more milk as
needed in small increments. Look for thick pancake batter consistency), garlic
powder and salt.
3. In separate bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, paprika and salt.
4. Spray air fryer basket with cooking spray of choice
5. Dredge quartered artichoke hearts in wet mixture, followed by dry mixture and
place in basket
6. Once complete, cook at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
7. Make space between each artichoke heart to ensure even cooking
