You’re in for a treat.. these skinny nuggets are delicious! A crispy coating with a tender chicken inner. Perfect!
A modern twist on a classic recipe have this being served at dinner time much more frequently!
I’m excited to share this recipe and I’ve tweaked and played with it to get it just right. It’s based on other skinny chicken nugget recipes that I’ve used before, plus it’s been adapted to utilize the benefits of the air fryer.
I’d like to think they retain the same great taste without using a lot of oil, to keep both kids and parents happy!
PREHEAT AIR FRYER
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 4 minutes.
Place the chicken breasts on a chopping board.
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Add olive oil
Coat the chicken in a light layer of olive oil.
Add chicken to a bowl containing the breadcrumbs, panko and parmesan cheese and gently mix.
SPRAY ON A LITTLE OIL
Once coated, spray olive oil on the outsides to give that extra crunch.
Get ready to fry
Move the coated chicken into the airfryer basket.
Air fry for 6 minutes
Shake and Air fry for another 6 minutes
Check that the chicken is piping hot and properly cooked.
