The Best Air Fryer Cookbook in 2019
Are you in the market for an air fryer cookbook?
I’ve read quite a few of these cookbooks and some are pretty good, others not so much!
With a little bit of help, you can find the best air fryer cookbook for you.
My first air fryer cookbook opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of meals I can cook in my air fryer.
How to choose the best Air Fryer Cookbook
When you’re thinking of buying an air fryer cookbook you’ll need to consider the following:
1) The kind of meals you want to make such as vegetarian, Mexican or quick and easy meals
2) How many people are in your household
3) Your cooking ability
Let’s take a closer look at these considerations:
The kind of meals you want to make
My 16 year old daughter is vegetarian and she will happily eat anything that does not contain meat. Buying a cookbook that has a lot of vegetarian recipes was something of a lifesaver.
Keep a lookout for cookbooks that contain vegetarian dishes in my reviews below!
While it might be obvious to you to look for a cookbook that contains recipes you’ll use not every cookbook does.
Many people opt for a cookbook that looks good but as they say “never judge a book by its cover”! Delve into recipe books, see what they say and opt for one that will let you cook the meals you’re likely to enjoy.
How many people are in your household
Some cookbooks are ideal for those who have to cook for 3 or more people. Cookbooks such as these are perfect for me.
If you live on your own or there are only 2 of you my advice is to look for a cookbook that contains recipes that serves 2 people.
Some air fryer cookbooks are ideal for couples or flatmates who eat together.
If you’re happy to cook a meal suitable for 4 people so you can eat the leftovers I would opt for any cookbook you think is ideal.
Your cooking ability
I would like to think I’ve become a better cook. However, when I first started using an air fryer I was not the best!
If your cooking isn’t the greatest I would suggest you opt for a cookbook that has fairly simple recipes.
What are the advantages/benefits of an Air Fryer Cookbook?
They can boost your confidence
I wasn’t the best or the most confident cook. However, trying new recipes and following the instructions to a tee made me feel more confident.
You no longer have to eat the same things every day
If you’re used to eating the same things every day/week, a new cookbook can help. If you want a bit of variety in your meals an air fryer cookbook can make all the difference.
Trust me, ever since I got my first air fryer cookbook I’ve tried many different dishes.
Now my husband doesn’t think “It’s Tuesday, which means we’ve having pasta tonight”. Now he thinks “I wonder what’s for dinner”.
What's the best way to use an Air Fryer Cookbook?
In my opinion, the best way to use an air fryer cookbook is to firstly have a flick through it. Make a note of any recipes that stand out and give them a try.
Follow the instructions to a tee until you become a more confident cook. Use the recipes as inspiration for your meals. Add different seasonings to your dishes, cook them for a little longer if you want. Use your air fryer cookbook to create many tasty dishes.
The 750 Air Fryer Cookbook#1 Our #1 Rated
This is my favourite cookbook of 2019. A huge selection and easy to follow.
The 750 Air Fryer Cookbook 2019 is a really good cookbook for beginners. This is because the recipes are quite simple. They allow you to try your hand at some new meals without being overly complicated.
One of the things I like about this book is that it shows you weight, volume, and temperature equivalents. This is perfect if you want to measure your ingredients US standard or metric.
When it comes to the photographs, this cookbook does not have any which is slightly disappointing. However, the meals are easy to make, so you should not need photographs to guide you.
This is a cookbook I would have loved when I was starting out with my air fryer. Recipes such as cinnamon sugar casserole, morning turkey burrito, and Italian chicken frittata are simple but tastes great.
If you want to cook for fussy kids or adults, trust me, this is the air fryer cookbook you might want to opt for.
Air Fryer Cookbook For Beginners#2 Our #2 Rated
This is my recommendation to air fryer beginners! Full of tasty yet simple meals.
The Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginners comes with recipe ideas for every meal and snack. This means there is a dish for almost every occasion.
The author has also thrown in some meat, poultry and seafood recipes in.
Before you get to the recipes you are presented with a lot of information about the benefits of air fryers. There’s also a bit about how you can look after your air fryer. These sections aren’t necessarily needed but they’re ideal if you’re still nervous about using your air fryer.
One of the not-so-great things about this particular recipe book is that there are a few recipes that have not been thought out properly. For example, the “Crispy Coconut Shrimp” recipe has neither salmon or coconut in it.
There are a few photographs in the book but for the most part, it’s full of text. When it comes to ease of meals some are hard to make, whereas others are fairly easy.
I don’t think this is a beginners cookbook as such. I wouldn’t have bought it when I was starting out. However, the more experienced air fryer cook might appreciate it.
The Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook#3 Our #3 Rated
A wonderful selection of even healther meal options to prepare in your air fryer.
The Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook is ideal for those who want to eat a little healthier. I’m never sure about books like this because I don’t want to compromise on flavor.
However, this is a cookbook that’s a little different as the recipes seem to have a lot of flavour. Trust me, I’ve tried more than a few.
The only criticism I can come up with is that some of the recipes are a little complicated. If you’re new to air frying you might want to avoid this cookbook for now.
When it comes to the photographs, there are plenty and, for the most part, you can see what you’re cooking.
This is something that pleases me as it helps me present my meals in a more elegant way.
This relatively new cookbook contains recipes such as roasted fish with lemon-almond crumbs, homemade bagels, and cinnamon rolls.
There definitely seems to be a recipe for almost every meal. So, if you want to cook something a little fancy, this could be the ideal air fryer cookbook for you.
The Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginner#4 Our #4 Rated
My second favourite cookbook for beginners, Alice has done a great job selecting recipes.
The Essential Air Fryer Cookbook for Beginners offers up easy low-cost and quick meals. This cookbook has recipes for breakfast, brunch, dinner, side dishes, desserts, and snacks.
There are 13 vegetarian/vegan dishes which will appeal to some. The recipes are quite tasty but 13 dishes are not enough for a fussy teen.
There are no photographs in this cookbook which is slightly disappointing but there are some very tasty recipes.
While the cookbook does claim to tell you the meal’s nutritional information, none are included. Unless you’re willing to work out the nutritional content yourself you may want to opt for another cookbook that contains this all-important information.
However, the meals are easy to make and some have just 5 ingredients. I would have loved this cookbook when I was starting out. Many of the recipes are very simple and tasty and not at all intimidating.
The Air Fry Everything: Foolproof Recipes#5 Our #5 Rated
130 recipes packed full of tasty meals and treats.
The Air Fry Everything: Foolproof Recipes for Fried Favorites and Easy Fresh Idea cookbook is a pretty good book that contains more than 130 recipes.
There are snacks, breakfast dishes, burgers, meat dishes, seafood, vegetarian dishes, and desserts.
What I like about this cookbook is that there are a lot of different recipes. If you want to enjoy something new every day, this cookbook will help you.
One of the things I don’t like about this cookbook is that many of the recipes are a little complicated. This means it’s not ideal for those who are just starting to use their air fryer.
I can imagine that this book would have bamboozled me somewhat when I was just starting out. Now I can look at it and it doesn’t seem quite so scary!
One of the things I love about this cookbook is the photographs. There are photographs for almost every meal and snack. This really helps as it gives you an idea as to what the food should look like.
The clear winner of this roundup is the 750 Air Fryer Cookbook 2019: Delicious and Easy Air Fryer Recipes for your Family Every Day. This book is the winner thanks to its easy recipes.
You’re also told the weight, volume, and temperature equivalents. There aren’t any photographs but this doesn’t take away the fact that it’s a good cookbook.
You won’t have to eat the same old meals every day and you won’t be stuck with trying to understand the recipes. What’s more, is not every recipe serves 4-6 people, some serve 2 people. This means you can make as much or as little as you like.
I really like this cookbook, so much so that I’m refusing to lend it to anyone!
